Japanese girl group Flower and Little Mix collaborated together a few months ago where they created an eccentric and fun song called “Dreamin’ Together”. The music video (shown below) not only showcases both flashy and dance-filled choreography, but a joyful vibe.
It’s great to see collaborations between groups these days as not many are seen, for the exception of solo artist collaborations with other solo artists. Especially in the eyes of the media, girls working together is considered non-existent. But completely erasing that negative stigma is the great part of this huge ordeal.
It all starts with working together.
I’m sure many U.K. fans may remember the comic relief charity single that both Girls Aloud and the Sugababes collaborated on which did debut on the official U.K. charts a number one and the European Hot 100 Singles at number 8.
While “Walk This Way” was only a cover, it did receive massive support due to its “fundraising nature”. Plus, seeing two huge girl groups (at the time), working together in such a positive way, only made the collaboration even better in the eyes of the media.
Who knows, we may see more girl groups and even boy bands collaborate more with each other. At the end of the day, showing women (and men) working together and loving the passion of music only makes the end material amazing.
