Mama Tina Knowles is angry about the many criticisms that her daughter, Beyoncé, has been facing after the release of the trailer of her movie, Black is King.
Many attacked the “Black Parade” singer for appropriating African culture to cash in.
Her mother, Tina, decided to speak directly to critics by saying: “Some of you criticize under a thinly veiled guise of educating her. You can’t tell her to do in her movie! It’s really sad that the women who shout the loudest the ‘protect the black woman’ that they are the ones that are trying to tear her down. Sisters wake up! Beyonce was taught from a little girl to lift other women up and not to tear them down.”

The dedicated mother went on to say this about Beyoncé’s goal of empowering Black people: “Her work is to change the narrative! To show that we did not start off as slaves, but that we were kings and queens before we were forced into slavery. Don’t you want to see something that shows that? Aren’t you tired of seeing us as slaves? She employs African and African-American people, fights for many “first” in the fashion and film world. Take an inventory of yourself and your hate.”

Black is King will arrive on Disney+ on July 31.
One fan replied: “They have been hating on her since she was a teen. No amount of fact is going to change their mind because they hate her.”

Another commenter shared: “Beyoncé has always worked with people from the continent. Just because people dont know how to read credits doesnt mean she needs to do any explaining.”
This follower wrote: “It was a big argument on Twitter. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Haters will always hate; that’s how I see it. It’s just so sad that the majority of the haters are black women.”

This supporter revealed: “so confused about the debate of a film that hasn’t been released yet🙄I try to be empathetic and open to everyone’s POV but the hate she’s been receiving is just uncalled for/stupid. Your Baby is the Queen and honors our culture like no other. Period!!!!!!!!💯💯💯💯❤️”
An enhusiast backer claimed: “Wow. Thank you so much for addressing this. As a black woman who is deeply inspired by Beyoncé’s artistry, independence, work ethic, and GENUINE love for her people and commitment to uplifting others, I was so saddened to see the picture some people were trying to paint. We know Beyoncé does her research. We also know she has no issue in sharing the spotlight allowing other creatives to guide the creative process. I am personally so excited for this project and am thankful for her artistry. Truly one of a kind, a legend. 🐝 💕”
