Check out the photo, above, of Olivia Munn at the Vanity Fair Oscar party this year and tell me she hasn’t had injectables. If I saw her out and had no idea who she was, I would assume she’d had botox at the very least. There’s just something off about her face. Next look at the the photo below of her in 2006. Yes she’s lost weight, but her nose shape has changed as has the shape of her eyes.
We last talked about Olivia Munn’s possible plastic surgery and/or injectables when she credited her smooth skin and altered appearance to eating Japanese potatoes. (She really did this.) Several of you said on that post that her face changes could be due to weight loss, but others noted that she looks like she has increased volume in her cheeks and like she’s had an eye lift.
In a new interview with Canada’s Fashion Magazine, Olivia has come out and denied that she’s had any work done whatsoever, which… does not ring true to me.
“Being multi-ethnic―I’m half Chinese, half white―brings up a whole set of complications that people don’t even think about when it comes to being photographed,” she says. “I have more of a white appearance on the outside, but my bone structure is very much Asian. I have high cheekbones and smaller eyes. When you put shimmer on the inside of my eyes, I immediately look cross-eyed,” she says. “If you put too heavy of an eyelash on me, it looks like my eyes are halfway closed.”
Then she opens up her Instagram. “I posted the picture on Instagram because the glam team had worked very hard. People were like, ‘What did she do to her face?’ A week later, I looked completely different,” she says. “As an actor, you can be completely transformative and take on different roles. As an individual in the world, it’s a totally different story―we live in a time where there’s so many pictures that bring so much scrutiny. When your face changes because of makeup, it’s hard to let people know that you’re not actually doing surgery or fillers…
“People have so much to say about Lena Dunham getting naked on Girls. To me, that is more of a problem. That’s where it’s unfair: the judgment that is put on women for how we look. If you’re looking bad, you have to cover up. If you’re looking good, you’ve done something or made a deal with the devil.”

Couldn’t she have come up with something better than makeup? Maybe she could cop to laser resurfacing or something. Sure makeup and contouring can change the appearance of your face, but it’s doubtful they can make dramatic changes like this. Also, Munn posted a comparison photo to Instagram and claimed her face looks different because she eats a certain kind of potato. She’s saying that we shouldn’t judge women for how they look while at the same time inviting scrutiny of how she looks by making implausible claims on social media.
