This, of course, was the case for Joey King and Jacob Elordi, who, after their breakup, had no choice but to reunite as an on-screen couple for the second installment of The Kissing Booth!
During an interview for Cosmopolitan Magazine, on the cover of which she also was, Joey King admitted that acting alongside her former boyfriend, Jacob Elordi, was not easy for her.
It turns out that they had to actually shoot The Kissing Booth 2 as well as the unreleased third movie of the series back to back and the 21 year old confessed that it was rather challenging.
‘No one’s thinking to themselves, ‘That was easy,’ because it wasn’t. I’m sure people will analyze every movement and every detail. And you know what? Let them.’
The two actors had a private romance between 2017 and 2018 only packing some real-life PDA at some red carpet events around that time.
But even after their split, Joey King kept things professional on set.

‘At the end of the day, I was just thrilled to be Elle Evans again. There’s so much I want to say. What’s the most, um, correct way to go about this?
